World Patient Safety Day 2024
?The Ministry of Health will continue to work together with all parties including patients, health professionals and policy makers to ensure every diagnosis made is correct and precise. At the same time, the patient diagnostic process can be enhanced by improving communications and involving the patient in a more active manner in the patients’ healthcare. The Minister of Health underscored the matter in the message in conjunction with World Patient Safety Day 2024. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar also stressed that the community and residents of Brunei Darussalam are urged to take advantage of the existing features in the BruHealth application. Such steps are to enhance a healthy lifestyle culture through monitoring the respective health levels via the said application.

Yang Berhormat also emphasised the Ministry of Health’s commitment in instilling a strong safety culture to produce an efficient health administration and effective health care system capacity development. Celebrated every 17th of September, this year’s World Patient Safety Day is themed Improving Diagnosis For Patient Safety. The theme focuses on the importance and precision of diagnosis in healthcare to protect patient safety.
