Treasury Department Announces Migration of e-Invoice Portal to Government Vendor Portal

The Treasury Department at the Ministry of Finance and Economy has announced significant upgrades to the Treasury Accounting and Financial Information System (TAFIS), leading to the migration of the current e-Invoice portal to the new Government Vendor Portal starting April 1, 2024. This transition marks a pivotal enhancement in the department’s digital infrastructure, aimed at streamlining procurement and financial transactions with the government.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the newly introduced Government Vendor Portal will serve as a self-service platform, enabling suppliers and vendors to actively participate in quotations or tenders issued by various Ministries or Departments. Furthermore, it facilitates the submission of claims or invoices following the provision of goods or services to any government agency. To access the benefits of the Government Vendor Portal, vendors are required to complete a self-registration process online. Notably, vendors previously registered on the e-invoice portal must also undergo registration on the new platform. For those seeking assistance, vendor clinics will be available from April 1 to April 30, 2024, at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
