Temburong District Hosts First Aid and CPR Training Certificate Ceremony

Temburong District – A Certificate Presentation Ceremony for participants of the First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training was held on the morning of November 19th at the Kampung Amo and Kampung Semabat Longhouses in the Temburong District. The event was graced by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, the Minister of Health.

According to Radio Television Brunei, first aid is the initial treatment given with the primary goal of saving lives, while CPR is an emergency procedure that can be crucial in saving a person who experiences sudden collapse, fainting, or heart attack. The ceremony marked the culmination of a training program conducted at the Belalong Community Hall in Temburong. The training was organized by the Training Course Committee under the National Resuscitation Board of the Ministry of Health.

The ceremony not only recognized the efforts of the participants but also emphasized the importance of first aid and CPR skills in emergency situations. The program is part of the Ministry of Health’s initiative to increase public awareness and skills in life-saving techniques, thereby enhancing community readiness to respond to medical emergencies effectively.
