Talk in conjunction with World Hospice and Palliative Care Day
In conjunction with World Hospice and Palliative Care Day 2024, Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre, PJSC hosted a talk highlighting the vital role carers play in the journey of patients facing life-limiting illnesses. The talk, held on 18th October night at Berakas, carried the theme ‘Carer Fatigue: Addressing the Needs of Those Who Care,’ underscoring the emotional, physical, and spiritual challenges experienced by caregivers.
Among those present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. The talk underlined the often-overlooked fatigue, burnout, and stress that carers face daily, offering practical self-care strategies rooted in Islamic values. The event coincided with a presentation of certificates to key sponsors.
