Story-Telling Competition Celebrates Young Talents in Brunei.

Berakas: The Language and Literature Bureau, through its Library Division, has successfully organized its annual ‘Pertandingan Mari Bercerita’ or Story-Telling Competition. This initiative aims to foster a love of reading among children, enhance their imagination, and promote a culture of reading.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the competition featured the theme ‘Aku Anak Brunei’ and saw four participants in each category compete in the finals. Awang Mohd Rayyan Hadi bin Haji Mahadi from Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School and Dayang Anaa Sumayyah binti Muhammad Azya Azrine from Al-Falaah School emerged as champions in the Malay Language and Language categories, respectively. The prizes were presented by Doctor Dayang Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education. The event was held at the Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas.
