BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - The Masjid Universiti Takmir Committee of Universiti Brunei Darussalam hosted a Murattal Al-Qur'an Reading Competition for men aged 55 and above, held on the evening of August 2nd.
According to Radio Television Brunei, The competition, part of the celebrations for His Majesty's 78th birthday, saw 18 participants from Kampung Mukim Gadong 'A' and 'B'. It aimed to foster a love for Al-Qur'an reading among older members of the community. Awang Haji Mohamed Husaini bin Ibrahim from Masjid Universiti emerged as the first-place winner, exemplifying the depth of engagement and devotion to Qur'anic study within the community.
