SAKAT 2024 Opening Ceremony

The two-day Southeast Asian Literature International Seminar, SAKAT 2024 themed “Literary Transformation in the Creative Economy”, organised by the Language and Literature Bureau, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as the Secretariat of Mastera Brunei Darussalam started today. It took place at the Language and Literature Bureau, Berakas.

SAKAT 2024 is one of the main activities of the 28th Mastera Conference, besides the Mastera Theatre Festival, Drama Manuscript Appreciation and the 7th Mastera Literary Award 2024. Present was Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Walsahfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The seminar discusses the existence of literature in the creative industry that is able to face challenges.
