Sacrificial Rites

The Sacrificial Rites continued to be held by various ministries and parties in the country. Yesterday morning, the Prime Minister’s Office and the departments under it held such a ceremony. It took place at the Banquet Hall, Prime Minister’s Office.

The sacrificial meats were distributed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.  Also present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

The Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei, Perbadanan TAIB and its subsidiaries, yesterday afternoon also held the distribution of sacrificial meats, officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office as Chairman of the Perbadanan TAIB Board of Directors.

A similar ceremony was also held yesterday morning by the Ministry of Health. The sacrificial meats were distributed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health.

The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism as well as the departments under it held the Sacrificial Rites, yesterday afternoon. The sacrificial meats were distributed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism.

Meanwhile, the Sacrificial Rites for the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as well as the departments under it was held simultaneously at three separate locations yesterday afternoon. At the Tanah Jambu Youth Development Centre, the sacrificial meats were distributed by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

A similar ceremony was also held by the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, yesterday afternoon. The sacrificial meats were distributed by Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence.
