Roxas Boulevard-EDSA Flyover Northbound Lane Reopens After Repairs
Pasay City, Philippines – The northbound lane of the Roxas Boulevard-EDSA flyover in Pasay City, which was closed for four days for repairs, is set to reopen on Saturday night.
According to Philippines News Agency, The Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) announced on social media on Friday that the lane will be accessible to motorists starting at 11 p.m. on December 30. DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and DPWH-NCR Director Loreta Malaluan conducted an inspection on Friday to assess the ongoing installation of the final two expansion joints.
The DPWH-NCR explained that the replacement of these joints is intended to strengthen the structural integrity of the bridge and enhance its capacity for vehicle movement, thereby ensuring the safety and convenience of motorists. Officials assured that the project adheres to DPWH safety standards and that the timelines set by the contractor are being strictly followed.
The four-day rehabilitation process of the flyover began on December 26, highlighting the department’s commitment to maintaining and improving critical infrastructure in the capital region.
