The rites of sacrifice on the final day of Tasyrik continued to be performed by various agencies in the country.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and its departments, yesterday MORNING held the rites of sacrifice at the Pengiran Muda Abdul Wakeel Mosque, Kiudang in Tutong District. The sacrificial meat was distributed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.
The Ministry of Education also held a similar ceremony at the Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School Hall in Kampung Salambigar. The meat was distributed by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Doctor Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education. The recipients were students from Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School, Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Secondary School and Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School.
Also holding such a ceremony was Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, BIBD in collaboration with the Kampung Masin Mosque Takmir Committee. The sacrificial meat was distributed by Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mazanan bin Haji Yusof, Assistant Mufti for Buhuth at the State Mufti Department, as Chairman of the BIBD Shariah Advisory Body. The ceremony coincided with the handing over of donations.
Also holding the rites of sacrifice was Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD. The sacrificial meat was distributed by Dr. Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD. The event was organised by the Student Affairs Division and the Students Association of Universiti Brunei Darussalam, PMUBD.
The Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB, also held a similar ceremony. The sacrificial meat was distributed to 64 staff and students of KUPU SB by Doctor Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, Ra’es of KUPU SB.
