President Marcos Celebrates Vice President Sara Duterte’s 46th Birthday


MANILA — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. extended warm birthday wishes to Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte as she celebrated her 46th birthday on Friday. The President took to Facebook to commend her dedication and contributions to the nation’s education system.



According to Philippines News Agency, he praised Vice President Duterte’s efforts in strengthening the Philippines’ youth and educational framework, urging continuity under the “Bagong Pilipinas” initiative. The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) also posted on Facebook, expressing hopes for Duterte’s good health and continued success, while thanking her for her service, particularly to the nation’s youth and educators.



Vice President Duterte, who also holds a law degree, is noted as the country’s third female vice president and the youngest ever elected to this office. Meanwhile, President Marcos is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the 21st edition of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore later on Friday evening. He will be the first Philippine president to keynote at Asia’s premier defense forum, which this year hosts over 550 delegates from more than 40 nations.
