The use of information in the PenggunaBijak app can instil a culture of wisely planning expenditures by making price comparisons. The application was introduced in 2016, towards digital transformation by channelling information at the fingertips for the ease of the public.
With the motto, Information Empowers Consumers, the application contains information on price controlled goods, sales and discounts offered by businesses, sharing on consumer protection and facilities for lodging complaints related to unethical business practices. Complaints can also be made through Talian Darussalam 123; WhatsApp 8333123; or e-mail aduanpengguna@jpes.gov.bn. Consumers are advised to keep proof of purchase such as receipts, contracts and relevant documents for reference.
