PBBM Appoints New Envoys and Government Officials Across Multiple Agencies.


Malacañang: On Saturday, the office released a list featuring newly appointed ambassadors and officials across 12 government agencies.

According to Philippines News Agency, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has designated Patrick Chuasoto as the Philippine Ambassador to Sweden, with additional responsibilities over Latvia. Eduardo Jose De Vega has been appointed as the Philippine Ambassador to France, overseeing Monaco as well. Christopher Montero will now serve as the Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia.

In addition to diplomatic appointments, President Marcos has reappointed Leonor Cleofas as the administrator and chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), with Elpidio Vega continuing as its chairperson. Cleofas, alongside Vega, Merly Cruz, Dale Brian Go, and Jose Hernandez, will also be part of the MWSS Board of Trustees.

Further appointments include Rickee Gerald Brieva and Joshua Agustin Soriano as Presidential Legislative Liaison Officer III, and Rey Zarate Jr.
as Presidential Legislative Liaison Officer II at the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office under the Office of the President. Maria Amifaith Fider-Reyes has been named a member of the Commission on Human Rights, while Nasser Halipa joins the Department of Agrarian Reform Adjudication Board representing agrarian reform beneficiaries.

Rogelio Chavez Jr. will serve on the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Board, representing the labor sector. Danton Bueser and Jose Mari Ponce have been appointed to the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Board of Directors, representing the national government and the private sector, respectively.

Additional government positions have been filled by Lorna Belinda Calda (Department of Agriculture, Director III), Gerson Marvin Abesamis and Graciela Mendoza (Department of Education, both Director IV), Ricky Arzadon and Vicente Leocadio Mariano Abella (Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Directors IV and III, respectively), Sabeniano Caliao Jr. (Depa
rtment of Public Works and Highways, Director III), Jerico Namoro (Department of Trade and Industry, Director III), and Ernesto Raphael Robillo (Land Transportation Office, Director II).
