Patric Bren Coo Secures Silver at Asian BMX Championships in Bangkok


Bangkok – Patric Bren Coo won the silver medal at the 2024 Asian Cycling Confederation BMX Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand. Competing at Kamol Sports Park in Nong Chok, Coo finished second in the men’s elite category, trailing Thailand’s Komet Sukprasert, who captured his third consecutive title at these championships.



According to Philippines News Agency, Coo expressed gratitude for the outcome, reflecting on the hard work leading to his success. Last year, Coo earned a bronze medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games, marking a steady progression in his career. He is currently training as an Olympic Solidarity scholar, splitting his time between the UCI World Cycling Center in Aigle, Switzerland, and competitions worldwide.



The Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino praised Coo’s dedication and growing prowess in BMX racing. Coo also acknowledged the significant support from the Philippine Sports Commission, emphasizing its role in his preparation for the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
