5 foreign men were detained in an Operasi Tumpas conducted by the Department of Immigration and National Registration.
During the operation carried out on the Private House Extension Project in Mukim Belait, one of the detained was found to have violated Chapter 15 1 of the Immigration Act Chapter 17 which is overstaying after his Immigration Pass has expired. While another 2 individuals were believed to be in violation of Regulation 15 2 of the Immigration Regulation Chapter 17 which is any foreign worker working in the country must work under the original employer.
