‘Operasi Sepadu’

The Industry and Business Ecosystem Division, IBE through Weights and Measures Unit, SDT and Department of Economic Planning and Statistics, DEPS through Department of Consumer Affairs under the Ministry of Finance and Economy recently conducted an ‘Operasi Sepadu’ on several business premises in Brunei Muara District.

During the operation, a business premise was issued a Warning Notice for violation of the Price Control Act and its Regulations where the company has failed to display prices on several items found in the business premise.

Meanwhile, 16 units of weighing machines used for trading purposes are verified, accurate and registered accordance to Weights and Measures Act and Weights and Measures for Verification Regulations.

Traders were advised to be aware and update the maximum price for goods under the Price Control Act and always display the price tag clearly and correctly.
