Ministry of Education Hosts Art Competition Awards in Conjunction with World Down Syndrome Day.

Bandar Seri Begawan: The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Special Education, organized a Prize Presentation Ceremony for the Drawing, Colouring, and Collage Competition for Government Primary Schools nationwide in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day 2024. The event took place at the Lambak Kanan Jalan 49 Primary School earlier today.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the prizes were awarded by Dayang Hajah Anis Faudzulani binti Haji Dzulkifli, who is the Acting Director of Planning, Development and Research. The ceremony was not only a platform for recognizing the artistic talents of students with special needs but also included a sharing session on Down Syndrome, as well as an exhibition showcasing the students’ artwork.

The competition aimed to acknowledge and celebrate the unique abilities of students with special needs. It also sought to foster creativity among these students and enhance public awareness of their educational and social contributions. The event highlighted the impo
rtance of inclusivity within the educational system and the broader community.
