LAOAG CITY — Nestled in the fishing village of San Julian, Sta. Praxedes, Cagayan, Mingay Beach offers visitors a serene escape into nature, devoid of modern distractions such as electricity and internet.



According to the Philippine News Agency,Recognizing its eco-tourism potential, Mayor Esterlina Aguinaldo has recently introduced overnight stays, encouraging sustainable travel practices and community engagement. The locale provides solar-powered teepee houses and essential amenities for a tranquil experience. Pre-booking is mandatory for overnight visitors, as detailed on the Santa Praxedes Tourism Facebook page.



Accessible by a downhill trek or a boat ride, Mingay Beach is part of Sta. Praxedes’s broader initiative to promote its natural attractions, including other beaches and beautiful rock formations, aligning with efforts to enhance visitor safety and exploration, according to rescue team member Villamin Lizardo Jr. and visitor Aileen Rambaud’s endorsements.
