Launching of Project SINAR


The ‘Project Sustainable Integration of Natural and Renewable Energy’, also known as Project SINAR is a significant solar energy initiative with the aim of providing renewable energy for its Petrochemical Refinery and contributing to the country’s Renewable Energy Goals. The project is set to install Solar Photovoltaic panels at Pulau Muara Besar in stages. Project SINAR also supports the Brunei Climate Change Secretariat’s strategies to increase renewable energy adoption and reduce carbon emissions.

It was jointly-officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence AND Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.
