Launching of 28th Mastera Conference


?The Southeast Asian Literary Council, MASTERA is recommended to multiply efforts to promote all its products so that its dissemination reaches countries outside of its members with the advancement of information communication technology. According to the Minister of Development as the Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, the effort is significant so that the international community knows about its existence as well as recognising MASTERA. Speaking at the launching of the 28th Mastera Conference, the Southeast Asian Literature International Seminar, Mastera Theater Festival – Drama Script Appreciation and the presentation of the 7th Mastera Literary Award, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid explained the successful implementation of Mastera projects and activities are based on the Mastera Strategic Plan 2016 to 2020. The ceremony was held on 1st October night, at a hotel in Gadong.

The Minister said the review of the Mastera Strategic Plan 2023 to 2027 i
s aimed at the implementation of Mastera programmes, projects and events that can be coordinated so that member countries can maximize efficiency and ensure the efficacy of Mastera programmes for the long term.

Several new books published by the Language and Literature Bureau were launched and the 7th Mastera Literary Award presented to 4 recipients. Among the recipients was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, whose pen name is Badaruddin H.O.
