Launch of Suluh Darussalam Book

The Department of Islamic Studies made history with the publication of a special book titled ‘Suluh Darussalam: Sekolah-Sekolah Ugama di Negara Brunei Darussalam’ which contains the history of the establishment of Religious Schools in the country. In conjunction with the 68th Anniversary of the Implementation of Formal Religious Education in Brunei Darussalam, the launch took place this afternoon at the Auditorium of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

The launch was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. The collection of information published in printed form is hoped to be used as a comprehensive reference source and a guide for future generations. Also held was the distribution of the book.
