LandBank Confirms Continuous Digital Service Availability During Holy Week

MANILA—The Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank) has announced that its digital banking services will remain operational throughout Holy Week, ensuring uninterrupted access for its clients.

According to Philippines News Agency, users will be able to conduct transactions via the LandBank Mobile Banking App (MBA) and iAccess, the bank’s online retail platform, despite the nationwide closure of branches during the holiday period.

The statement further detailed that LandBank’s suite of digital services, including the Link.BizPortal for bill payments, WeAccess for corporate banking needs, and the Electronic Tax Payment System for settling tax dues, will all be accessible to customers. Additionally, fund transfers to and from LandBank and its subsidiary, the Overseas Filipino Bank, will continue to be free of charge on both the MBA and iAccess platforms.

While LandBank branches across the Philippines will not be operational from March 28 to March 31, in observance of Holy Week, they are set to resume services on April 1, 2024. The bank has also made provisions to ensure that its ATMs, numbering over 3,000 across various locations, including partner 7-11 stores, are well-stocked to meet the cash withdrawal needs of its clientele during this period.

In light of the increased reliance on digital banking channels, particularly during times when physical branches are closed, LandBank has issued a caution to its clients about potential cybersecurity risks. The institution urges customers to avoid clicking on suspicious links, maintain confidentiality over personal login credentials, and access banking platforms directly through official websites rather than search engines to prevent phishing and other types of online fraud.

With these measures in place, LandBank aims to provide its customers with secure and reliable banking services throughout the Holy Week, reflecting its commitment to customer convenience and safety in the digital age.
