Guidelines to Welcome Haj Pilgrims

The Minister of Religious Affairs shared on the preparations to welcome the return of the national pilgrims, scheduled to arrive in the country on the morning of the 16th and 17th of this month. A Guideline which is the Health SOPs was formulated in a Special Meeting between several agencies. In this regard, the Minister shared on the Guidelines for the Return of the Brunei Darussalam Haj Pilgrims for this year’s Haj Season.

The Minister of Religious Affairs said that family members are urged not to welcome and pick up haj pilgrims in large numbers at Brunei International Airport. Only one family member is allowed to pick up each pilgrim at Brunei International Airport to avoid overcrowding and also to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection. Avoid visiting pilgrims within three days after their return. Haj pilgrims are also not encouraged to leave the house to attend ceremonies or public places within three days after returning. Pilgrims must perform an ART every day for three days upon arrival in Brunei Darussalam and report the results to the Bruhealth application.
