G7 Foreign Ministers to Tackle Key Global Issues in Upcoming Capri Meeting


ROME — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Italy, Antonio Tajani, announced that the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting, scheduled for April 17-19 on the island of Capri, will primarily address the Middle East, Ukraine, and terrorism.



According to the Philippine News Agency,In a press conference held in Naples, Tajani highlighted the importance of conveying a message of peace for Gaza, continuing efforts initiated at a previous informal gathering in Munich. The G7 assembly, which includes the US, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, the UK, and Germany, will also discuss broader geopolitical concerns, including the Mediterranean, Africa, and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, with a particular emphasis on maintaining the status quo in Taiwan. Notable attendees will include NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, with Brazil, India, and Mauritania also invited to participate.
