Bandar Seri Begawan – For Awang Ajis bin Awang Dollah, incarceration became a turning point towards a more meaningful life. After years spent in prison due to involvement in criminal and drug abuse activities, Ajis found a new direction during his time behind bars.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Ajis embarked on a new journey in carpentry, starting with a small capital but driven by determination to succeed. His venture not only received a positive response from the public but also allowed him to offer employment to apprentices with similar backgrounds. One of these apprentices expressed gratitude for Ajis’ guidance and support. This story highlights the importance of family and community support in aiding former prisoners to reintegrate into society and contribute positively.
