Vendors who failed to comply with the Weights and Measures Act, 1983 Chapter 151, were issued with a Warning Notice during a surprise inspection at festive stalls.
During the operation, 15 weighing scales did not adhere to the Weights and Measures Act, 1983, Chapter 151. Owners of the weighing scales are also required to be present at the Weights and Measures Units within three working days after the notice was issued to ensure the equipment is in compliance with the Weights and Measures Act.
