Enhancing Administrative Data Workshop

A collective effort involving frontline staff and data processing teams is essential, to ensure that the information gathered is timely, relevant and useful. In addition, accurate and reliable data plays an important role, as an input in driving national progress. The matter was emphasised during the Opening of the Workshop in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s inaugural National Statistics Day: Administrative Data as the Back Bone of Sound Policies.

Organised by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics, DEPS, Ministry of Finance and Economy, the workshop was attended by over 60 participants from government agencies. Among others, the workshop underscored the importance of cultivating a strong data for the benefit of effective policy formulation. The workshop was held at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
