Doa Selamat Ceremony Held for RBAF Contingent Set to Join UNIFIL Peacekeeping Mission.


Bandar seri begawan: A Doa Selamat ceremony for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) contingent, which is preparing to join the Malaysian Battalion MALBATT 850-12, took place at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison on the afternoon of October 31. This contingent will be part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeping mission.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, who serves as the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence. The ceremony included a Tazkirah titled ‘Akhlak Dalam Berjihad,’ emphasizing the importance of ethics in jihad.

The RBAF contingent, consisting of 30 personnel and led by Major Pengiran Muhammad Syahir Fadillah bin Pengiran Salleh, is scheduled to depart for Malaysia on November 1. From there, they will proceed with the MALBATT-12 contingent to Lebanon, contributing to international peacekeeping efforts
