Doa Kesyukuran and Prize Presentation

In conjunction with International Day of Older Persons, the Department of Community Development, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports with the cooperation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Senior Citizens Activity Centre, PKWE, held a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony and Prize Presentation for the PKWE Tilawatil Al-Qur’an Musabaqah nationwide. The ceremony was held on 2nd October afternoon, at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development as Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Champion Qari was Awang Haji Saifuzaman bin Haji Apong, while Qariah was won by Dayang Hajah Alimah binti Haji Matassan. The ceremony continued with the reading of Doa Kesyukuran in conjunction with the celebration. Also present were Members of the Legislative Council.
