CSC Antique Initiates Tree Growing Event to Support Families of Fallen Government Employees

ANTIQUE, PHILIPPINES — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Field Office in Antique has announced a tree growing event scheduled for September 19 at Sitio Catwayan, Patnongon, aimed at raising funds to assist the families of government employees who have died in the line of duty.

According to Philippines News Agency, CSC Antique's provincial director, the event is part of the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani Program, which provides financial support to bereaved families of government workers. Participants in the mangrove planting activity will contribute a registration fee of PHP250 each, which will be used to fund the program. "This initiative is not just about planting trees; it's sowing seeds of compassion for our fellow public servants who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty," Ladigohon stated in an interview on Friday.

The tree growing activity is coordinated with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) and the provincial government, aligning with the theme 'Malasakit sa Kalikasan, Malasakit sa Lingkod Bayani.' This event also coincides with the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary and the 'Linggo ng Malasakit.'
