Compliance with Price Control and Weights and Measures Acts in Temburong District
Temburong, Brunei – Business premises in Mukim Amo and Mukim Bukok of the Temburong District have been found to be in compliance with key regulatory acts. This was established following a recent monthly joint inspection carried out by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (DEPS) through the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Weights and Measures Unit, SDT, Industry and Business Ecosystem Division.
According Radio Television Brunei, the businesses adhered to the Price Control Act, Chapter 142, and the Weights and Measures Act 1983, Chapter 151. The inspection forms part of an ongoing effort to increase awareness among business owners about the importance of compliance with these acts, thereby promoting an ethical business environment. During the inspection, it was also found that nine units of weighing and measuring machines used for business purposes were valid, accurate, and duly registered with the SDT Unit.
Businesses in the district are reminded of the necessity to comply with the Price Control Act and the Weights and Measures Act to contribute to building a sustainable and ethical business environment in the country.
