Chicken Meat without Halal Import Permit Confiscated

600 kilograms of chicken meat believed to be smuggled into the country were confiscated at Kampung Puni in Temburong District.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs in its press release stated this was following information received by Enforcement Officers at Halal Food Control Division, Temburong Branch of Syari’ah Affairs Department on packages of meat found at the said area. The packages contained 85.2 kilograms of chicken wings and 515.2 kilograms of chicken tails.
