Brush Containing Pig Bristles Removed Following Inspection
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei – An inspection led by the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Syariah Affairs Department was conducted at a business premise following public complaints and information regarding the Okazaki brush. The inspection was initiated due to concerns about the brush’s composition.
According Radio Television Brunei, The product packaging revealed that the brush was made with pig bristles. In response, the Syariah Affairs Department ordered the immediate removal of the product from the business premise. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a reminder to business owners, managers, retailers, suppliers, and importers in the country. They are urged to exercise vigilance when importing products for sale and to ensure that halal products are not mixed with non-halal ones. This action reflects the commitment of the authorities to maintaining religious compliance in consumer products.
