Brunei’s Girl Guides Association Commemorates Royals with Khatam Al-Qur’an Ceremony and Tahlil

KAMPUNG ANGGEREK DESA – In a solemn gathering on the morning of March 29, the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam conducted the Khatam Al-Qur’an Ceremony and Tahlil readings in memory of Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji Abdul ‘Azim. The event was held at the association’s headquarters, marking a poignant moment of remembrance and spiritual reflection.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd. Ali, Lifelong Vice President, and Dayang Norazrina bin Haji Sarbini, Chief Commissioner. This annual activity, part of the Titian Kasih Project, aims to instill a culture of reading and understanding the Al-Qur’an among members, fostering spiritual growth alongside strengthening communal bonds and goodwill within the association.
