Bandar Seri Begawan – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam has conveyed congratulatory messages to Laotian leaders on the occasion of the 48th National Day of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The Sultan’s messages were addressed to His Excellency Doctor Thongloun Sisoulith, President of Laos, and His Excellency Doctor Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of Laos, as well as to the government and people of Laos.
According to Radio Television Brunei, this gesture, as reported, reflects the Sultan’s recognition of the longstanding and cordial relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, celebrating an important national milestone for Laos.
