Brunei Smart Mobility Expo 2023 Showcases New Technologies and Road Safety Initiatives

Jerudong, Brunei – The Brunei Smart Mobility Expo 2023, held at Bridex Halls 1 and 2 in Jerudong, offers the public a chance to explore new technologies and services provided by several local companies. This event highlights the country’s focus on smart mobility and road safety.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the expo’s opening featured the launch of the ‘e-Book Highway Code’ exhibition and the Public Bus Transport Survey. The ‘e-Book Highway Code’ serves as a comprehensive guide for drivers and road users, emphasizing safety aspects on the road. The Public Bus Transport Survey, on the other hand, aims to gather opinions and input from various stakeholders to improve public transportation services.

The launch was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications, with Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, also in attendance.

The expo also showcased the initiatives of the MKKJR (Majlis Keselamatan Jalan Raya Kebangsaan) in enhancing road user safety and striving towards the vision of ‘Zero Fatal Road Accidents.’ Various technology products displayed at the Brunei Smart Mobility 2023 offer unique experiences to consumers, reflecting the evolving landscape of smart mobility in Brunei.
