Brunei Prihatin Initiative Raises Over $186,000 for Orphans Fund.

Bandar Seri Begawan: More than $186,000 were collected through the ‘SMS’ Brunei Prihatin for the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans, DANA, for the year 2023 to 2024. The Fund Presentation Ceremony and launch of the ‘SMS’ Brunei Prihatin for DANA for 2024 until 2025 were held on 2nd December 2024 afternoon at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex. The Fund was received by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence, who also serves as the Chairman of DANA Board of Trustees.

According to Radio Television Brunei, contributions were received from companies and customers of Syarikat DST, Syarikat Progresif Sendirian Berhad, and Syarikat Imagine Sendirian Berhad. The event also marked the launch of the ‘SMS’ Brunei Prihatin for DANA for 2024 to 2025, a project that will run for nine months starting from 2nd December 2024 to 2nd September 2025.

unction ran concurrently with the presentation of donations in the form of coupons worth over $190,000. This ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health and Deputy Chairman of DANA Board of Trustees, highlighting the community’s commitment to supporting orphans through the DANA initiative.
