Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society Celebrates 76 Years with Honors Ceremony

BERIBI — The Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society marked its 76th anniversary with a distinguished ceremony attended by high-ranking officials and volunteers. The event, held in Beribi, recognized the long-standing contributions of the society to humanitarian efforts in the region.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence, graced the occasion. A total of 41 veteran senior officers, officers, and volunteers were honored with the BRC Distinguished Medal of Honor, while two individuals received the prestigious BRC Henry Dunant Award, highlighting their exceptional service and dedication to the Red Crescent’s mission.

The ceremony was not only a celebration of the Society’s lengthy history but also an acknowledgment of the significant impact its members and volunteers have had on the community.
