Brunei and Malaysia Education Ministers Discuss Malay Language Development.
Gadong: The opportunity to explore and strengthen efforts in developing the Malay language was among those discussed when Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doktor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education, received a courtesy call from Yang Berhormat Fadhlina binti Sidek, Minister of Education of Malaysia. The ceremony took place at a hotel in Gadong. During the courtesy call, both sides expressed hope to continue cooperation, especially in advancing educational initiatives and empowering the Malay language.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the Minister of Education of Malaysia also visited a number of educational institutions, including the Brunei Darussalam Leadership and Teacher Academy, the Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE School of Aviation, and the Language and Literature Bureau. The one-day working visit was part of the ASEAN Visit 2024 of the Minister of Education of Malaysia.
