B.E.S.T. Week Programme Launched to Combat Cyberbullying.


Sengkurong: The Ministry of Education has launched the B.E.S.T. Week Programme, aimed at tackling and preventing bullying, including cyberbullying, among students at schools. The initiative, titled ‘Bantu, Empati, Sayangi, Tanggungjawab’ or Assist, Empathy, Caring, Responsibility, began on the morning of 7th November at the Sengkurong Sixth Form Centre.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the programme was officially launched by Dayang Hajah Marina Chek binti Bujang, Director of Schools, Ministry Of Education. As part of the event, a forum titled “Buli Siber dari Perspektif Sivil dan Syariah” or Cyberbullying from Civil and Syariah Perspectives was conducted. The initiative seeks to cultivate disciplined students who exhibit good character and morals, while also raising awareness about the dangers and negative impacts of cyberbullying.

The B.E.S.T. Week Programme is organized in conjunction with the International Day Against Violence and Bullying at Schools Including Cyberbullying, highlighting the minist
ry’s commitment to creating safer educational environments.
