Asterawani Members Honored at Appreciation Ceremony.

Kampung Kiulap: Three members of the Brunei Darussalam Association of Writers, known as Asterawani, were celebrated for their achievements at the Asterawani Appreciation Ceremony held on the night of November 2nd. The event recognized the recipients of prestigious awards, including the 7th Southeast Asia Write Award, the Meritorious Teacher Award, and the Malaysian Book Award 2024.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the honorees were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, who serves as the Minister of Religious Affairs; Pengiran Haji Mahmud bin Pengiran Damit; and Professor Ampuan Doctor Haji Brahim bin Ampuan Haji Tengah. These individuals have made significant contributions to literature and writing, authoring several books that highlight their active participation in the literary community.
