AI to Empower Religious Services Discussed at Senior Officials’ Meeting.
Jerudong: Senior officials have highlighted the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an innovative tool to enhance religious services, focusing on increasing public outreach and engagement. At the 48th Senior Officials’ Meeting for MABIMS 1446/2024, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs emphasized AI’s role in improving the tithe and endowment system, religious education, and youth empowerment.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, who chaired the meeting and serves as the head of SOM for Brunei Darussalam, expressed optimism that MABIMS would facilitate further discussions on integrating technology to advance services for the community’s benefit. The meeting, held over two days in Jerudong, also reviewed the Strategic Focus Implementation Report under the MABIMS Strategic Plan 2026-2030. The discussions revolved around the theme ‘Memelihara Akal Dalam Maqasid Syariah: Bagaimana Belia Islam Dapat Membantu?’ which explores the role of
Islamic youth in preserving intellect within the objectives of Shariah.
