45th ACDM Meeting and Related Meetings


Strong regional cooperation can leverage collective expertise, share best practices, and make ASEAN a more resilient region. In addition, long-term solutions are significant to restore local economies, rebuild sources of income, and ensure the continued well-being. The matter was shared during the 45th ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management, ACDM Meeting and Related Meetings. The meetings took place at The Empire Brunei, Jerudong.

The meeting was chaired by retired Colonel Muhd Harrith bin Haji Muhd Jamin, Director of the National Disaster Management Centre, NDMC. This year, Brunei Darussalam is hosting and Chairing the ACDM, and the ASEAN Ministers Meeting on Disaster Management, AMMDM. The ACDM meeting serves as a forum for exchanging views on strategic and current issues, as well as discussing ongoing progress and the status of several projects, programs and activities. The meeting was attended by ASEAN delegates from National Disaster Management Organisations, NDMO from ASEAN Member States, the ASEAN Se
cretariat, the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management, the AHA Centre and Timor-Leste as observer country and ACDM dialogue partners from the People’s Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
